According to Yonhap News Agency, a South Korean Foreign Ministry official said Tuesday that the international community, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), should closely monitor the disposal of contaminated water in accordance with scientific and objective standards.  

The official said the International Atomic Energy Agency will visit Japan in the future.  The ROK side will closely cooperate with international organizations to ensure that the discharge of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear plant is carried out in accordance with international standards and information is released transparently and accurately.  

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) concluded its review of the safety of the plan to release contaminated water from Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant Wednesday, and is expected to release a detailed report next spring.  It is reported that the investigation team of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will visit Japan from November 14 to 18 to review the safety of the Fukushima nuclear sewage discharge plan.  This is the IAEA's second review of the plan after February this year.  

The plan to release contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear disaster has raised doubts both inside and outside Japan, with local residents and fishermen in the area opposing the plan, NHK TV reported.
